Step 4:

After completing the self assessment, I have reached conclusions on my weaknesses and strengths. My perceived strengths is that you can always count on me to get work in on time, and I am pretty good at organizing work flow. I am good at time management and making sure things will get done when needed to be, and I will try to get a head start on things while I can. What I'm most worried about in this class is doing the work just to get it done and reach the end goals, because I really do want a full understanding of the content. I can tend to get distracted by my peers, especially in a class as loose as this. But, I will try my best to get the work in on time while simultaneously learning as much as I can and grasping the content to the best of my ability.

Coure Benchmark Goals

Step 1

  • What is it that you hope to know and be able to do at the conclusion of the class? I hope that I will have some knowledge and facts about music history to be able to take with me to college, and maybe gain a better appreciation for the subject.

  • What are three things you would like to achieve in order to count your semester as successful? I want to have good notes to refer to for the future, I want to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, and also be successful in the honors tract.

  • How motivated are you to achieve these goals? I am pretty motivated

  • How will you increase your motivation if it becomes low during the course of the semester? I will remind myself of my personal time goals for the week and remember that I have a goal to achieve.

  • What strategies can you use to achieve your goals? I will be making weekly schedules of when I'd like units to be completed

  • What might interfere with your achievement and how can you prevent this interference?  My other courses may interfere with the amount of work I get done, as well as applying to colleges in the fall as I may use some class time to get college things done occasionally.
